Simon worked together from 2005 - 2009 and I much enjoyed his company.  I posted this story on Facebook.

I remembered the last time I saw him and it brought a smile to my face. I saw him outside the Diamond Engineering Faculty in Sheffield having just bumped into each other. He told me Richard Gere was filming in the Diamond at that very moment. I cannot remember the joke but you insert the name of the person you were talking to alongside Richard Gere implying that one was as famous as the other. It was really corny. I said that this was not the first time he had cracked that joke today. "No" he said "you are the fifth".

We said our goodbyes as he left with a big toothy grin on his face.
