Cousins

Created by Karen 3 years ago

I am the eldest of 8 cousins on Simon's English family side and remember his Dad Chris arriving very excitedly at our front door in Newbury to announce his arrival. I was thrilled! I became a weekend fixture at their house and loved helping to look after Simon and  then his brother James. His Mum Judy was very trusting and taught me lots about looking after babies and cooking Danish biscuits and pastries. I used to take them to the local park just down the road in their huge pram and when they could talk called me "Big Karen" as they knew another Karen and I was the oldest! . Simon had beautiful blonde hair and a huge smile even then. I was upset when they moved away and Marcus was born as didn't see them so often, until they eventually settled in Wantage.

I can't believe that he has gone. Its not right, it's not fair.  To die the same way as his Father. In everything Simon did, he gave 100% and more with a quirkiness all his own. One of life's good guys., with a zest for life. Although we didn't see each other so often, I shall miss him so very much Rest in Peace my dearest cousin, reunited with your  Mum and Dad.  Xxx
